Ol’ Sherlock’s dead!
But there it was my foot and my leg,
I got my cast off, without having to beg!
The leg is all stitched, I’m out of the cast,
It’s time for vacation, it should be a blast.
But the stores are all shuttered and closed as they said,
Will this be so boring we wish we were dead?
“Not at all!” to the family I said through clenched teeth,
We’ll make up some games and cook up a feast!
Yes, the whole family together, all stuck in the house,
But put on a smile, don’t anyone grouse!
We all will get through this, one way or another.
Don’t ask me how. Go ask your mother!
