His followers as they read about the rebuilding process they would have been made aware of the great personal sacrifices the Jews had made in constructing the temple. This would have encouraged them to participate more fully in the re-building of the temple.

2 Chron 1:8-10 Solomon requested that he might receive wisdom and knowledge to lead the people (2 Chron. 1:8-10). ”Wisdom“ (ḥoḵmâh) refers to discernment and judgment while ”knowledge“ (maddā‘) means practical know-how in everyday affairs[1]
- It was because of Solomon’s purity of heart in the request that God honored him as He did.
